My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

Dear Parishioners, The miracle of the raising of Lazarus, which is a sign of our future resurrection from the dead, proves Jesus’ power over death. John begins his account by reporting the facts. In Christ’s conversation with Martha we find one of the most accurate definitions of who Jesus is; he is the Resurrection and the Life –the Resurrection because his own triumph over death Is the cause of the resurrection of all men; the Life, because not only does he open the door to eternal life but he provides man with the nourishment of grace to help him on his way there. Jesus prays before working the miracle. Here we can see his role as Mediator. Jesus’ attitude and feelings show us the way people who have been baptized should relate to God; Baptism has united us to Christ and made us children of God in him; we should always pray in a filial way and thank God our Father for all the good things he has given us.
God bless you! Rev. Francisco M. Tovar
Rev. Francisco M. Tovar

QUINTO
DOMINGO DE CUARESMA
First Reading: Ezekiel 37:12-14 This reading is a loving promise that the Lord will put His spirit into his people and will let them live. Second Reading: Romans 8:8-11 Paul reminds the Romans that they are not people of the flesh but people of the Spirit because the Spirit of God dwells in them. Gospel: John 11:1-45 In great detail, John tells the story of the raising of Lazarus to life. Upon learning of the death of Lazarus, his dear friend, Jesus goes to comfort Martha and Mary. After proclaiming, “I am the Resurrection and the Life,” Jesus goes to the tomb of Lazarus and restores him to life.

Fifth Sunday of Lent—John 11:1-45 Jesus is called by Martha and Mary with news that their brother Lazarus is very ill. When Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. Jesus loved His friends deeply and was saddened by their grief. He cried. Jesus called upon His Father, who raised Lazarus, much the same as Jesus will rise Easter Morning.

“ Our (?)______________ Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going to awaken him”
Jonn 11:11
Unscramble each word, then arrange the circled letters to form a word that will complete the statement that Jesus made about himself.
In the past few weeks of Lent we have seen a lending of physical, emotional, spiritual and healing support.
With the rising of Lazarus, Jesus’ friends experience all of these comforts and many people became believers.
