makes 1 standard sized pillowcase
• When you can see the bottom edge of the cuff, gently pull the cuff over the rolled body fabric to create a tube. Pin well making sure not to catch the rolled portion of the body fabric in the seam.
• Stitch ¼ - inch along the top edge of the tube. You will be stitching through 5 layers…cuff, body, 2 edges of the accent fabric and then the other cuff edge.
• Gently pull the body fabric out of the tube and press the accent strip away from the cuff.
• Fold the pillowcase wrong sides together. Make sure to match the cuff and accent pieces along the side. Pin as needed. Sew a scant ¼ - inch seam down the side and then across the bottom of the case.
* Remember you are sewing on the right side of the fabric!
• Turn the pillowcase wrong side out and press.
• Sew a very generous ¼ - inch seam down the side of the pillowcase and then again across the bottom of the case being sure not to catch the previous seam.
* Remember this time you are sewing on the wrong side of the fabric.
• Turn pillowcase right side out and press.
