Plan Your Project By eTwinning Ambassador: Faten RomdhaniCREFOC Nabeul- Tunisia

I- Idea of the Project Start with the end in mind

[ I would like my pupils to collaborate / to connect with their peers to create/ to solve / to have fun exploring a new topic/ issue/ ]

Bear in mind the 6 C’s 21st Century skills

21st Century Skills

II-Partners in the project Look for partners by posting in the Etwinning Live forum

One founder of the project may get more partners to work with and then decide who could possibly be extra founders of the project by planning the project together

The bigger the number of the partners, the merrier and the more exciting is your experience … (especially if all the members are active)

Create a detailed schedule of your project It could be

Weekly, monthly , or every ( term / semester)

Inviting the partners to give feedback to the detailed schedule would help all partners feel responsible & commit to the schedule. Yet, no need to stress out, every partner has his own pace of working . We should be patient and understanding.

Detailed Project Plan You could have a detailed project plan beforehand or collaborate with the partners to agree on the tasks to accomplish & the deadlines

You could possibly use google doc to invite all the partners edit the plan & add to it

Inform Teachers/ Partners Informing partners by posting in the twinspace forum

Or by sending emails

Or by inviting them to edit a google doc

Or by posting updates in a facebook group

Post Regularly on the project journalBeing present there will certainly help all partners keep track of where you are in the project & what are your future tasks

Encourage Student Communication Whether inviting students to connect via Twinspace or Facebook, make sure you teach / raise the awareness of your students about digital citizenship rules and netiquette. It’s safer to teach them how to swim before throwing them in the sea

Engage Students in the discovery of Web 2.0 Tools

Learners need to be familiar with some free web tools and work collaboratively on a final outcome ( magazine, story, book, blog, …)
