Bear factory entreprise project

TRANSCRIPT

In order to support the children’s Personal, Social

and Emotional Development, each group of Selly Oak

Nursery School purchases their own Group Bear at

the Build-a-Bear Workshop. During a circle time

activity, the children discussed whether they wanted

a girl or boy bear and what name to give it. On an

organised trip, the children had lots of fun

experiencing travelling together on a train to the

Birmingham City Centre where the Bear Factory is

situated. Once the children were there, they were

shown the process of making the bear. With adult

support, the children chose the bear they wanted and

the clothes subject to the budget they were given.

Here are some of the photos taken during this

project.

The children arrived at the Bear Factory where it was

extremely busy!

Whilst the children were at the Bear Factory, they were

allocated a staff member who showed the children the process

of buying their group bear. Firstly, the children needed to

choose which bear they wanted. This was quite difficult because

there were so many to choose from. However with adult

support, they were told that they only had a certain amount of

money to purchase the bear and the clothes.

Now that the children had chosen which bear they

wanted, it needed to be stuffed with some hearts and

foam stuffing!

Once that the children had stuffed their bear, it

was time to choose some lovely suitable clothes!

Now that the children had chosen the bear and

the clothes, they needed to pay for it using their

group money
