AMT is a f ive-semester, Department of Labor recognized apprent icehip program that matches higher educat ion with cont inuous real -wor ld work exper ience. The AMT program combines proven workplace components with the earn-and- learn model .

Texas Federat ion for Advanced Manufactur ing Educat ion (TXFAME) is a partnership of regional manufacturers whose purpose is to implement dual- t rack, apprent iceship-sty le t ra in ing that wi l l create a pipel ine of h ighly ski l led workers.

Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Track

• Earn an Associate’s of Appl ied Science in Advanced Manufactur ing Technology.

• Curr iculum in Electr ical , F lu id Power, Mechanical , Fabr icat ion, and Robot ics.

• Learn Manufactur ing Core Exercises: Safety Culture; Workplace Organizat ion; Lean Manufactur ing; Problem Solv ing; Machinery Maintenance & Rel iabi l i ty.

• Pract ice communicat ion ski l ls , team-work, taking in i t iat ive, d i l igence and attendance.
