NetworkInclusionThesensormustbeaddedtoaZ-Wavenetworkpriortouse.Toincludethesensorinanetworkboththesensorandthenetworkcontrollermustbeininclusionmodeatthesametime.Refertotheinstructionsprovidedbythemanufacturerofyourspecificcontrollerfordetailsoninitiatingthecontroller’sinclusionmode. STEPONE Startbyplacingthecontrollerintoinclusionmode.STEPTWO Activateinclusionmodeforthesensorbyremovingtheplasticpull-tabfromthebackofthesensor.Whentheinclusionprocess

incomplete,theLEDonthesensorwillbesolidblue,thengoout.STEPTHREE Testthesensor.Placethemagnetnexttothesensortorepresentaclosedposition(seeInstallationsectiontoseewhereto

positionthemagnet).IftheLEDflashesONETIME,itissuccessfullycommunicatingonyourZwavenetwork.IftheLEDonthesensorflashesslowandsteadyfor5seconds,youneedtorepeattheinclusionprocess.

Notes: Ifyouneedtorepeattheinclusionprocess,repeatSTEPONEabove,thenforSTEPTWOyouwillneedtosimplyremovethecoverofthesensor,removethebatteryfor10

seconds,reinsertthebattery,andreplacethesensorcover.Thiswillre-enterthesensorininclusionmode.
