Technical Features :3. As the screw operates, the moving rings continuously clean
the sludge from the gaps allowing filtrate to pass and ensure
clog free operation.
4. As the sludge progresses along the screw, the pitch narrows,
increasing the pressure and dewatering efficiency.
5. Sludge can be taken directly from source e.g. aeration tank,
which means costly upstream storage tanks are not
necessary.
6. As the thickened/dewatered sludge is low volume the cost
of downstream storage tanks is also massively reduced.
1. After passing through the flow control and flocculation
tanks, the sludge enters the non-clog thickening zone.
This consists of a drum which houses a screw running at a
fixed speed.
2. The drum consists of spacers, fixed and moving rings. The
moving rings have a smaller outer diameter than the screw.

4. In this section, the gaps between the rings and the screw pitch decrease gradually in the direction of the end plate, whilst the pressure of the filter element increases due to the volume compression effect, which thickens and dewaters the sludge.
5. The end platecreates furtherpressure from the outlet side so thatthe sludge becomes drier, resulting in an up to 35% solid sludge cake which is released from the sludge cake outlet.
3. The sludge entersthe thickening zone. and the initial filtrate is discharged whilst the thickened sludge is pushed towards the dewatering zone by the screw.
2. A Polymer is mixedwith the sludge to form flocks suitable for the multi plate screw press.

Self-cleaning mechanismThe filtration surface consists of two types of discs, moving and static, which assembled together make a self-cleaning mechanism. Therefore, it seldom clogs and equipment can run continuously.
Designed to treat oily sludgeEquipment can dehydrate sludge with high oil concentration. It is optimal solution for treating oily DAF sludge at food processing factories, where filter systems and centrifugal separation struggle.
Minimal secondary pollution and maintenance The dehydrator main unit – dewatering drum, is of semi-enclosed construction and runs at an extremely low speed. Therefore, sludge does not splatter from the equipment. The dehydrator is an eco-friendly design that generates low noise and vibrations, and emits no odours as it is entirely covered.
Capable of treating low concentration sludgeThe dehydrator includes both gravity thickening and dehydration compression zones. Therefore, can cope with sludge concentration range from 0,3-0,5 to 10% of DS content.
Continuous automatic operationThe equipment is constructed to avoid clogging, washing is not needed to restore original filtration performance. Only showering with minor amount of water is necessary to wash away sludge that leaks from the dehydration zone. Thus, the amount of wash water is minimal.
Wide product rangeScrew dehydrators are available in wide range of capacities, with treating capacity in a range from 3 to 600 kg DS/h.
