Preparing and forecasting the yearly Demand–Supply Plan and administering its efficient execution. Preparing and ensuring that sectional expenditures are within the approved annual financial budget. Managing the storage yards for effective movement of materials, by-products & industrial wastes. Solving any MH & WM operational and technical issues in order to minimize production interruptions. Managing the segregation, preparation and supplying of scrap to optimize its utilization. Reviewing and releasing all sectional Purchasing Requests and supervising its proper execution. Preparing & approving all bidders’ technical evaluations. Reviewing & approving all issued Services/Goods Receiving Notes for all subcontractors’ invoices. Reviewing the contractors’ performance and holding regular meeting to tackle any related issues. Preparing the KPIs of senior staff and evaluating their performance (interim & annually). Establishing & administering the training programs of new comers and building their required level of
skills & experiences. Participating with SMP management for setting the yearly departmental objectives and monitoring
their achievement. Following up & liaising the Slag Processing Plant (for recycling by-product) with the subcontractor’s
management as per the scope of the contract. Developing the main procedures and work instructions in accordance with IMS and regulatory
requirements for smooth and systematic execution of MH & WM activities. Maintaining an overview of resources and activities, including future plans and projections, as well as
the current status of resource utilization, and reporting on related results and issues. Liaises, on monthly bases, with procurement, operation, finance & SAP team to resolve discrepancies
between physical inventories, L2 reports (actual consumption) versus SAP system data base.
PROCESS CONTROL
ENGINEERING
Defining the “process parameters” along with the plant head to accurately monitor the correctness of the production process.
Responsible for updating, modifying and managing the agreed process parameters to analyze and accurately monitor performance of each “heat”.
Responsible for data logging of the process parameters to ensure timely & accurate information availability for analysis, feedback & reporting.
Responsible for reporting the result of all data analysis to the operation teams so that they can make necessary adjustments in the process to meet correctness.
Regularly communicating with the QA to ensure all products meet the quality standards and the cause of any deviation can be identified.
Responsible for following up of trial processes and material to provide feedback on the behavior of the process and material.
Performing data analysis and preparing management reports on a range of production performance & technical areas/issues in order to ensure that the management has the necessary information to support decision making.
Providing inputs to the department head on the quality of material based on the technical analysis of the outcome of the production process to ensure right quality of material is being procured.
Identifying and suggesting improvements to the operating standards, policies and procedures in order to support continuous improvements in the operating performance.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & CONTROL
Developing & administering the imported billet specifications, quality inspection plans and testing procedures to ensure their effectiveness.
Reviewing the Finished Product Test Certificates. Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information. Studying and assessing the customer's inquiries & complaints to improve the product’s quality. Inspecting the laboratory’s facilities to ensure proper maintenance and calibration. Placing requisitions and evaluating the technical offers for the lab requirements. Supervising the laboratory staff and daily quality control activities. Preparing the monthly and annual quality control reports. Assisting Management Representative in developing and implementing ISO 9001:2000 system. Lead auditor, managing the internal QMS audits to maintain the ISO 9001:2000 system in position.
PRODUCTION PLANNING
Responsible for preparing production plan based on: o Sales & marketing to capture product – mix requirements, stock based order or specific orders to
plan sequence of production. o Plants & procurement department to ascertain availability of input materials. o Seek concurrence from the plants for available capacities based on maintenance schedules and
sequence of production to meet customer orders. Responsible for daily/weekly production plan forecasting, reviewing & revising whenever necessary. Responsible for daily/weekly monitoring of actual production output to ensure conformance. Responsible for modifying, updating the future plans based on actual production plan to meet the
changing requirements. Regularly attending the departmental meetings to collect information & review production status.
COMMON DUTIES
Ensuring compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the plant to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a friendly environmental attitude.
Participating with organizational committee to review, promote & report on all safety, health and environmental related issues.
Representing the SMP department with regards to environment, safety & health inspection audits (internal & external) and monitoring the implementation of related corrective/preventive actions, if any.
Ensuring the proper implementation of operational policies so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
