DESCRIPTION
Where I work we had problems with belts starting and finishing projects. We contributed this to project selection and project oversight. My CPI Project Management Life Cycle that I put together where I work shows who is responsible for creating, doing (managing) and the validation of the project. It is important for the Process Owner to have a list of approved projects that they want done already approved to allow a Black/Green Belt to pull from. This speeds up the project process for the Lead Belt and does not discourage them when a project they have selected does not get approved. This also leaves the process owner with the ownership of the project therefore ensuring their oversight and willingness to remove roadblocks allowing the project to completed.
