Congress Parkway bridge to close early Friday
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
The Congress Parkway bridge will close for about five hours early Friday for testing andmaintenance, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.
The bridge over the Chicago River at Congress and the Eisenhower Expressway will close atmidnight Thursday and reopen about 5 a.m. Friday, according to CDOT.
During the closure, routine maintenance will be performed and the bridge's lifting systems will betested.
All traffic will be detoured around the closure via Wells, Harrison and Canal, according to thestatement.
