quickly and provides heuristic and accurate data for diagnosis.

Many teachers use it intermittently (not a on a regular basis) to keep in touch with their teaching.

By video cameras, more attention can be paid to specific episodes and reactions of particular students of the total teaching situation.

VIDEOTAPE RECORDERCan be very conspicuous and distractingIf camera is directed by operator, it will only record that which he or she deems to be of importance.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND DIGITAL CAMERAShows isolated situations; difficulty of being in the right place at the right time; concentrate on small groups and individuals, not classes in depth.Images may not truly depict activities of the children, if the photographer is selective.
