Mt Everest

•Everest is over 9km above sea level.

•There is less oxygen at high altitudes.

•Local Tibetans didn’t know about Everest until recently

•More than one in five climbers are killed trying to get to the top.

•Mallory and Irvine nearly got to the summit in 1924.

•The Austrian, Reinhold Messner, was the first to make a solo ascent.

•Climbing Everest is becoming more popular nowadays.

•The rubbish on Everest is from the climbing expeditions.

The climbers reach the summit quite often.

The rubbish on the Mt Everest is caused by the climbers.

Snow is not cleaned on the slopes.

Final task:

Watch a video and write down in your NB 3 GOOD

active voice sentences about the video.

Example:

Martin Smith investigates climate change at the Mt Everest.

The car drove on a winding road.

•What is the main rule of Passive Voice?
