In what way does you media product use, develop or challenge forms and convections of real media

products ?• I believe that my media product conforms to

the conventions of a music magazine. • I have analysed music magazines and I have

tried to copy them with the images and text I used.

How does your media product represent particular social groups ?

• I believe that my magazine represents particular social groups such as young women in to dance music. It’s for street-wise girls who like a good time.

• The front cover image suggests who the target social group is.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why ?

• I think one of the main publishers would publish my magazine either Bauer or NatMags.

• This title would add to their range.

Who would be the audience for you media product?

• The target reader is young women aged 16-21 who are independent and like a good time.

• They enjoy live music and night clubs• Download music• Buy lots and lots of clothes!

How did you attract / address your audience ?

• My audience would be attracted by the front cover design, title and image and coverlines.

• The colours of black and white and blue appeal to my target female audience

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product ?

• As I am also a photography student I have been able to use my skills with software such as Photoshop

• The photos look professional too

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full

product ?

• I think I have improved the whole look and feel of the magazine front cover

• I am more aware of the a potential audience

• The photos and font and colours are better too
