The redevelopment theme was “opening night” adding excitement to the public areas. The project plays an important role in Cheltenham Avenue’s retail corridor redevelopment. The single-story mall serves Northwest Philadelphia and Montgomery County. A multi-million dollar face lift breathed new life into the 30-year old shopping center’s public spaces. New finishes, flooring, lighting, and marquee signage have enticed both shoppers and new retail tenants to the urban mall. The project is one of several cooperative projects encouraged by the City of Philadelphia and Cheltenham Township to spur economic development and enhance communities.
