Drafting Technology

Choose an Interesting Box Design

Doesn’t have to be too cute!

Something unusual would be good.

With some interest!

Consider what the outside will look like.

But don’t forget about the dividers.

We are creating a flat plane.

Where do I begin?

• Portfolio:– Cover Sheet– Research – Sketch Development

• Three clean neat drawings on graph paper• Using drafting equipment

• Box can not be a simple square or rectangle.

Where do I begin?

• Final Design on CAD with Tabs, Color and/or Patterns

• Box must have a lid or close. Also, must be able to be reopened.

Where do I begin?

• Box base can not exceed 25 square inches.• Container must be at least 2” deep.• Container must have four compartment to hold

candy.• Graphics to compliment your box.

Your Final Plan will Include:

• A flat pattern development of your box to scale with title block.

• Proper Dimensioning.• Add Tabs where needed (if needed) • Tabs are 1/2” wide, the edge is 45 degrees.

• Then finally an OBSERVERATION.

• You will turn in a completely assembled proto type and portfolio.
