One Tent Health sets up tents outsidelocal grocery and convenience stores to screen forHIV in just 15 minutes. The Nats Academy serves kids in Wards 7 & 8through holistic youth development inbaseball/softball, classroom assistance, mentoring,healthy food, and more. Come daily, weekly, monthly,or as you can. Be a part of the movement. Assistclassroom staff with their Scholar-Athletes who rangefrom 3rd-8th grade. Help tutor a student, assist withtheir homework, or work 1:1 to teach important STEMand literacy lessons through games. You can alsoassist coaching staff on the field with their Scholar-Athletes. We have two exciting upcoming events with GW VOTES! On Saturday, October 13th, from 4pm-7pm join us at the Mount Vernon Campus Quad for PARTY AT THE MAILBOX & VOTERREGISTRATION DRIVE! And in the following week, on Thursday, October 18th, from 11am-4pmjoin us at University Yard for another edition of PARTY AT THE MAILBOX! At both events, you willbe able to mail your absentee ballots (and we will cover the cost of stamps and envelopes) andlearn more about TurboVote and #GWVotes. Chat with our team, engage with politically activeorganizations, and enjoy food and refreshments. Make sure you cast your vote so your voice canbe heard in the upcoming elections. Remember, democracy isn't something we have, it'ssomething we do!
