Peaceful & joyous afterlife Able to do everything they did in normal

lifetime. Reside in eternal bliss

One of the rivers that flow through Hades Called “River of Oblivion” Shades of dead had to drink from this

river to forgot about there past lives on earth

Tartarus was the deepest region of the Underworld that it was said that it took nine days and nine nights for an anvil to fall from the earth surface to the very bottom of Tartarus.

Only the most horrible mortals were punished in Tartarus.

Lord of the dead and ruler of the nether world

Son of Cronus and Rhea Sits on throne made of ebony, and carries

a scepter Has helmet given to him by Cyclopes that

can make him invisible

Depicted as three-headed dog Guards the entrance to the lower world,

which is Hades Child of Typhon & Echidna

River that separates the world of the living and the world of dead.

It is said Styx winds around Hades nine times

This river was so respected by Greek gods, that they took oaths by mentioning its name

Ferryman of the Underworld River Only duty was to escort shades across

the rive of Styx. Often described as ancient looking man

dressed in loincloth Only required one coin from each shade

to cross the river.
