TRANSCRIPT

In many ways it is difficult to tangibly

measure the impact that a given Stoa

tournament has on the community be-

cause every single speech delivered and

every debate observed may impact the

judges in different ways. We hear count-

less stories of judges who are moved to

tears, deeply encouraged in their faith,

inspired in new directions, and renewed

in their hope by this upcoming genera-

tion of students. In some cases, judges

may not have been raised in the church

and they hear a defense of the Chris-

tian faith in a speech that moves them

to consider the Truth of the Gospel.

Others may have fallen away from the

faith and they are back in a church

building again for the first time in a long

time, and they feel comfortable and

welcome.

We absolutely believe that the Lord is

sovereign and in control of exactly

which judge is in which room to hear

the messages those students have pre-

pared. We trust that good seeds are be-

ing planted and that the Holy Spirit will

bring those seeds to fruit in His time.

Community Impact

Stoa is a national homeschool Speech

and Debate league. Its mission is to train

homeschooled students to speak boldly

and change the world for Christ.

For from Him and through Him and

to Him are all things. To Him be the

glory forever. Amen.

In today’s environment where training up young people to speak Truth to the world is becoming more and more difficult, we deeply appreciate churches who are willing to support us in this effort. When you host a Stoa tour-nament, you are providing a venue for students to sharpen their skills in speaking boldly and changing the world for Christ. You are also blessing families and allow-ing a time and place for members of the community to enter the doors of your building and be blessed.
