Be sure your animal is healthy before taking it anywhere.

Vaccinate?Check with a veterinarian to know what/if is appropriate

Use fly and insect repellent

Keep bedding clean and manure piles to a minimum

Disinfect new stalls, pens, etc. before putting an animal inside

1 part bleach – 10 parts H2O

You can carry it too

Rubber or Leather Boots

Don’t allow your animal to touch noses with another

How far should I stay away?

35 Feet

Don’t share equipment between animals

Let water fall to the bucket, don’t submerge hoses

Some Animals can be carriers and only shed during times of stress

Isolate, when you go home
