TRANSCRIPT

The project includes:

• Rebuilding approximately 15 miles of

transmission line. Company representatives

are reviewing route options to rebuild

through the city of Nitro as development has

significantly increased since the line was

originally built.

• Supplementing the company's existing

easements and/or acquiring new

easements.

The upgrades:

• Increase electric reliability.

• Strengthen the transmission system by

replacing wooden poles from the 1930s with

steel structures.

The rebuild begins at Bancroft Substation

located off Winfield Road near Shawnee Estates

and travels south, crossing the Kanawha River

near I-64 before entering the city of Nitro. From

there, the power line travels east toward Cross

Lanes and ends at a transmission tower located

off Route 622 near Institute.
