Devils hope to heat upCENTRAL Australian Rugbyunion returns tonight from6pm at Anzac Oval with Devilsagainst the Warriors and topside Cubs playing Eagles in thesecond match.
As it has been well-docu-mented, the Devils are on thelookout for new players.
It is hoped there will be agame between Devils andWarriors who are the sleepinggiants of the competition hav-ing beaten all three teams thisseason.
Warriors have talent acrossthe board with Tim Gibbons,Isaac Salei, Brendan Taylor-McInnes and the Goldsmithbrothers, player/coach Hamiand Amo at its disposal.
Hami Goldsmith said theteam has prepared tonight.
“By the sounds of it they(Devils) got a few players avail-able which will be good.”
The Warriors are at near
full-strength and players havecome through unscathed fromthe Alice Springs versus Dar-win NRL curtain-raiser lastSaturday. Hami Goldsmithsaid Taylor-McInnes hasadapted well to union but alsohopes the Devils can muster atleast nine of its own players.
“If they can get nine or 10 oftheir own players, that wouldbe awesome and just see outthis year and hopefully theycan recruit like the Warriorsdid this year,” he said.
There is a silver lining forthe Devils according to HamiGoldsmith who compared theWarriors of the last couple ofyears to the Devils’ 2013/14plight.
“I believe the Warriors inthe last three years were strug-gling like the Devils,” he said.
Warriors currently sit com-fortably in second spot on theladder. Eagles will be needingto keep its top-two chancesalive when it plays top sideCubs from 7.30pm.
