1. A Quality Website

• What is the first thing you do when you are planning on hiring someone / buying something?

• The Website we coin “Your Own Westfield” and it’s your Shop Front.

• Pay someone Awesome to do it for you if you can’t get it right – you want a beautiful, high converting lead grabbing site!

2. Email Marketing

• Mailchimp is our favourite platform which is often free for many.

• Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly Emails are a great approach.

• You win by giving away free information and lightly selling your products.

• Edward generally gets 20% + open rates each week and usually a lead each time!

3. Blogging & Content

• Don’t start us! This is a top favourite areas that has totally expanded Edward & Martha’s business.

• Write articles of interest around what you do, share them with your community, become the “Expert” and get found on Google.

• “Web Log” = “Blog” – this is today’s “Newspaper!”

4. Facebook

• Not for everyone, but can be very powerful if used correctly.

• You can connect Personally, Create Your Business Page, Build Likes, Boosted Posts (for very generous amounts) and get sign ups to events, webinars, sell products and get qualified leads.

• Very Powerful and for the cost of coffee and a sandwich, you can get seen thousands of times per day!

5. LinkedIn

• Outstanding for “Business Networking” Online.

• Not so much broad exposure or clicks – BUT it’s brilliant for connecting with people based on what they do, where they work and often their position in a company.

• The Premium option is great and a strong platform for many “Professional Services”. Let’s say you are targeting people in agencies – great!

6. Business Networking

• This is an old Proven Classic of being parts of Networking Groups.

• Many Small Business Owners do really well in this environments for picking up direct work and referrals.

• 4Networking, Chambers, Google it and Explore!

7. Referral Networks

• Having your Partners is a critical part of success in business.

• For example – photographers natural friends are Graphic Designers, Re-Touchers, Agencies, Marketing Consultants, Marriage Celebrants and Fashion Consultants to name a few.

8. A Beautiful Folio & Materials

• This can be a Corporate Profile, a Brochure or anything that really showcases what you do.

• Make it beautiful, easy to buy and it solves a lot of problems!

• Produce it once and many times of use!

9. Listings & Profiles• Quite often (especially in “Professional Services”) people

will often Google one’s name to “check them out”.

• Be it Facebook, LinkedIn, Flying Solo, 4Networking, Forums, Communities and the like – quite often your name may rank in these engines.

• According to LinkedIn Australia, 86% of people check ones LinkedIn Profile before doing business (Ref: Jillian Bullock for that).

10. SEO & Google Presence

• “Search Engine Optimization” is the field of getting yourself found on Google for certain say “Phrases”.

• Say “mechanic parramatta”, “graphic designer melbourne” – it’s great that your site may come up.

• This is a whole area of itself, however great places to start is by “seeding” your site and content with the right words for which you want to be found.

11. Free & Paid Events

• If you are say doing Paid Workshops or “Free Events” for all – this is a great form of leverage.

• You can speak to dozens plus of people with your great ideas.

• Do a great job, even do an invite for people to do business with you. Love this technique!

12. Webinars

• Web + Seminar = Webinar!

• A great low cost means of sharing content, demonstrating what you do, recording it and getting more clients!

13. LeadPages & Auto-Sign Ups

• LeadPages is this great program we highly recommend and use personally to set up high converting sign-up pages.

• People can Opt into your database for a compelling reward.

• Great way of building your list with no extra work.

14. Productization of Services

• If you are say a Coach, Mentor, Accountant, Consultant or Service Provider – if you can “Productize” your service. It’s a great way of working.

15. Additional Technologies

• Beyond these concepts there are plenty of new technologies and ideas coming into the market.

• Think about how you can even Outsource, Hire People and use Agencies to help you get done what you need to get done.
