grow at the rate of almost 30% and This also means a lot of variety in terms ofjob profile. The thrust of services therefore is not in just selling insurance policies but in fund management and also back office operations like underwriting and issue of policies, settlement of dues etc. This requires a variety of skills. While marketing professionals and MBA's may be hired for marketing and retailing the products, insurance professionals would be involved in underwriting.
Banking Services Management
In the modern economy with the changing times the banking sector & services have undergone numerous changes. Gone are the days when customers had to go to the banks. Now the banks are making utmost efforts to reach to the customers. Today banks are out to help any individual in the society by offering Personal Loans, Housing Loans, Auto Loans, Business Loans, Project Loans, Educational Loans, Overdrafts etc.
Banks have liberlised there policies & interest rates too. With the introduction of Information Technology and Computerisation the online transaction have become a reality now (who would have dreamt of sending money with a click of the mouse to any part of the world in a few seconds). With the circulation of plastic money (Credit Cards & Debit Cards), the standard of living has gone high. For all these activities the banking sector needs a lot of manpower continuously. IAAT specially designed this course to cater the needs of banks like ICICI, HDFC, AXIS, IDBI, SBI, PNB, UBI, Canara Bank, BOI, BOB etc. For marketing & field operations.
Retail Management
The rising boom in the retail industry has led many academic institutions in India to offer Retail Management Course. Retail Management is a professional program which prepares graduates to enter in the field of retailing. There is a huge demand for retail management professionals for processing of all merchandise shipments, achieving store sales and profitability, communication with the clients to gain their satisfaction and administration of stores. Retail is all about distribution of the product from the manufacturer to the consumers through short and convenient channels.
A retail management course from reputed career institutes may fetch a dream job. With the spurt of shopping malls and departmental stores, huge employment opportunities are opening up in India and abroad. By the year 2016, people are expecting that in India the retail industry will be worth Rs. 1000 crores to 1500 crores.
Companies like Reliance India, Pantaloons, Big Baazar, RPG Group, Titan, Raymonds, Westside, Barista, Bata, Caffe Coffee Day, Crossword, Food World, Nilgris and Trent are some of the big Indian companies who have opened their retail chain in India. Workplace fire hazards exist and need to be addressed. The ever growing industrialization, the unhindered population growth massive urbanization etc. have all increased the fire risk to a great extent. Indian fire protection wing is facing tremendous challenges and heavy responsibilities. This has created demand of trained human resources and equipment in many folds with such an upswing in Indian industry and economics, need of trained and qualified persons in field of fire protection of India is much more than ever before.
We offer a very cost effective Fire Safety training course which ensures that the participants are fully aware of all the methods, precautions and steps that's undertaken either to prevent a fire, control one or efficiently dealing with it to minimize loss of life and property. This course is designed for everyone who needs to know the basics of fire safety in the workplace, (may it be in the shopping malls, offices, theaters, factories, schools, markets, etc.). Participants will gain knowledge of fire safety basics, including the causes of workplace fires, prevention practices and guidelines for evacuation. Meticulous attention is given to the students by highly qualified experienced and committed faculty members in order to provide sound and up to date knowledge in fire fighting technology.
On account of the changing scenario of our work, culture and industrial progress, the hazards due to fire is increasing day by day. Ironically, today in our country, even after decades of independence and rapid industrialization, the profession of firemen is still in its nascent stage.
Though the government has made special rules to enforce the sense of safety in the minds of people but still a lot remains to be covered up. In spite of such efforts, the growth of such profession has never figured prominently among the common mass. Introduction to Automobile Industry

Automobile Engineering has come of age in India. Automobile hubs and clusters are spread across the length and breadth of India. With the boom in the Industrial sector, the education sector has witnessed the mushrooming of engineering colleges in the last two decades.
The profession of Automobiles, in addition to the Skills, also requires the knowledge of Research and Development, Artistic creativity in Design coupled with Leadership and Business acumen. It also requires a broad understanding of scientific principles, knowledge of materials and fuels. An Automobile Engineer is a connoisseur who practices art, science and technology. However, the colleges offering the Automobile programmes are very less in comparison with the other disciplines. The Professional Institutions to impart education are again too less in number to feed the growing hunger of Automotive Engineers who compete at the International Arena. To fill up this void and to safeguard the interests of the Automotive engineers, the Institution of Automobile Engineers India, promoted by the Automobile Society India has come to exist.
The automobiles sector is divided into four segments - two-wheelers (mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, electric two-wheelers), passenger vehicles (passenger cars, utility vehicles, multi-purpose vehicles), commercial vehicles (light and medium-heavy vehicles), and three wheelers (passenger carriers and good carriers).
The industry is one of the key drivers of economic growth of the nation. Since the delicensing of the sector in 1991 and the subsequent opening up of 100 percent FDI through automatic route, Indian automobile sector has come a long way. Today, almost every global auto major has set up facilities in the country.
The world standings for the Indian automobile sector, as per the Confederation of Indian Industry, are as follows:
Largest three-wheeler marketSecond largest two-wheeler marketTenth largest passenger car marketFourth largest tractor marketFifth largest commercial vehicle marketFifth largest bus and truck segment
The auto sector reported a robust growth rate of 26 percent in the last two years (2010-2012). The BSE AUTO Index outperformed the benchmark Nifty by 79%, 12% and 19% in FY10, FY11 and FY12, respectively.
The trend is likely to stay with a 10 percent growth outlined for 2013 citing high ownership costs (fuel costs, cost of registration, excise duty, road tax) and slow rural income growth. Solid but cautious growth is expected over the next few years. However, from a long-term perspective, rising incomes, improved affordability and untapped markets present promising opportunities for automobile manufactures in India. According to Macquaire equities research, sale of passenger vehicles is expected to double in the next four years and growth anticipated is higher than the 16 percent achieved in the past 10 years. Two-wheeler vehicle segment is expected to show slow growth of 10 percent CAGR over the period of 2012-2016, suggests the report.
The Government recognizes the impact of the sector on the nation's economy, and consequently, the Automotive Mission Plan 2016 launched by it seeks to grow the industry to a size of US $145bn by 2016 and make it contribute 10 percent to the nation's GDP.
Factors that will drive growth in the sector
Rising incomes among Indian population will lead to increased affordability, increasing domestic demand for vehicles, especially in the small car segment.
Fuel economy and demand for greater fuel efficiency is a major factor that affects consumer

purchase decision that will bring leading companies across two-wheeler and four-wheeler segment to focus on delivering performance-oriented products.
Product innovation and market segmentation will channelize growth. Vehicles based on alternative fuels will be an area of interest for both consumers and auto makers.
Focus on establishing India as auto-manufacturing hub is reigning in policy support in form of Government's technology modernisation fund.
Industry will seek to augment sales by tapping into rural markets, youth, women and luxury segments.
India is emerging as a strong automotive R&D hub with foreign players like Hyundai, Suzuki, General Motors setting up base in India. This move is further enhanced by Government's support towards setting up centres for development and innovation. Tata Nano's successful entry in the Indian market has steamed up the opportunities of growth available in alternative segments like electric cars, vehicles run on natural gas, etc.
According to the Confederation of Indian Industry, auto sector currently employs 787, 7702 people, 58 percent of who are in the passenger car segment. However, there is an increasing demand for skilled professionals in the domain of effective service delivery, spares management and support functions. ITIs and Polytechnics provide 530,000 graduates every year.
A graduate engineer at a major OEM (original equipment manufacturer, i.e. carmaker) gets a stipend of R28,000 to R30,000 a month during training. This can go up to R40,000 till s/he is confirmed. A line leader/assistant manager can earn anything from R40,000 to R80,000 a month, depending on their experience in the industry. A division head with 18 years' experience can make anything from R25 lakh to R30 lakh an annum.

MERCHANT NAVY:
The Need:
Career Prospects:
Sea cargo transportation takes 99% of the world cargo market and leaves about 1% only (by weight) for the air transportation industry. The recent boom in the global economy has driven the sea freight market high and the order books of most of the world's shipyards are full through the next 5 years. There are 70,000 ships plying across the oceans, and numbers are expected to increase very fast. Each ship requires a Captain and three navigating officers. With the growing demand for new ships, there is expected to be a shortage of officers globally. Our course leads the students through a structured training program preparing them for their first professional career as Rating.
A career in the Shipping Industry offers the chance of a unique and adventurous lifestyle packed with exciting career prospects. With the ocean as your backdrop and the most advanced and sophisticated ships in the world as your workplace, there really is nothing to compare with a life at sea.
The Merchant Navy offers a career like no other. Not only does it offer excellent remuneration and promotional opportunities, but also tremendous scope for adventure and travel. The Merchant Navy is a non-combatant commercial fleet, which deals with transporting cargo and, occasionally, passengers, by sea. The Merchant Navy fleet includes cargo ships, container ships, barge carrying ships, tankers, bulk carriers, refrigerator ships, passenger ships as well as roll off/roll on ships.
The commercial purpose of the fleet offers lucrative openings for engineers and navigators and catering & hospitality staff worldwide. Among all developing countries, India ranks as one of the countries having the largest merchant shipping fleets. Therefore, there is enough scope for employment in Indian as well as foreign ships. On successful completion of training at pre-sea and post-sea training institutes the candidates are eligible to take up jobs on board Indian/foreign vessels.
India has had a long maritime tradition and is the 20th largest maritime country in the world. The single largest contributing factor to this glorious tradition is the presence of a strong, dedicated, efficient and reliable reservoir of officers and ratings of the Merchant Navy in India. The ever- increasing demand of Indian seafarers worldwide is a testament of the quality of education and training received in India. However, of late, India has been facing a stiff challenge to her position in this regard from countries like Philippines, China and Bangladesh. Hence there is a need to further upgrade our training capacity and capabilities so that India stays ahead of the other nations in this sector and is able to meet the projected global shortage of 27,000 officers by the year 2015. There is also a need to augment the share of India in the world maritime manpower fleet from the present level of around 6% to at least 20%. Further, the 29% share of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries is dwindling rapidly due to lack of interest of their youth in this career and this presents an opportunity that we should exploit to our advantage.
