Roadmap

2009

Seven Projects

2019

Astroparticle Physics for Europe

ASPERA-2 – challenge

Total investment: ~ 1.5 Billion €

• spent in one infrastructure is quite some effort for funding agencies

• times 7 is impossible!

7 -> 1

Astroparticle Physics for Europe

ASPERA-2 – main goals

1. Establish joint European activities as the preferred way of funding R&D programmes and large projects.

2. Establish sustainable procedures of mutual coordination and benchmarking.

3. Create a sustainable structure for European Coordination in Astroparticle Physics.

4. Extend the network to all European countries with interest in Astroparticle Physics.

5. Increase the efforts towards global inter-regional coordination.

6. Update the roadmap.

7. Increase synergy with environmental sciences and other interested fields.

8. Cooperate with industrial partners.

9. Continue and extend outreach activities.

Astroparticle Physics for Europe

Astroparticle Physics for Europe

per ASPERA ad astra!

• ASPERA-2 shall

– be the pacesetter in Astroparticle Physics

– help shaping the European Research Area

– find innovative solutions also applicable in other fields
