We had our fourth and final Region 4 conference call for 2012 on December 12th. It was attended by Susan Rowley (West Central Florida), Christie Kline (Tennessee), and Curnis Upkins (Mississippi). Steve will be in touch to set the schedule for the 2013 conference calls.

As we reach the end of my term as your Regional Consultant, I would like to take this time to reflect on my past two years. It has been a privilege for me to get to know many of you personally as well as meeting your chapter members as I attended various conferences and meetings. I have treasured memories of working and sharing good times with all of you that I will carry with me throughout my lifetime. I would also like to thank all of the folks at ASHHRA that have supported me throughout my role. Many thanks to Jonathan Martin, attorney with Constangy, Brooks & Smith in Macon, GA, for his contribution to our to our newsletter via his articles address-ing labor and employment law issues. I have heard Jonathan present on these issues at several conferences and can say that he is a gifted speaker that presents sometimes “boring” labor issues in a fun and exciting manner. If you ever have the opportunity to attend, please don’t miss it! Steve Adriaanse, CHRO at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, will be starting his role as the new Region 4 Consultant on January 1. Steve has been actively involved with ASHHRA as well as his state chapter for many years and will be an asset to our region. His email address is steve.adriaanse@tmh.org. Basic Chapter Management: ♦ Your basic chapter management submission is due by Friday, March 1, 2013.

You will need to submit all of the requirements by this date to be considered for a star level award.

♦ Once your basic chapter management submission is complete, please e-mail your Regional Consultant.

♦ You will need to submit the Application Cover Page (pg. 7 of the CMAP applica-tion) with your Basic Chapter Management Submission on box.net.

♦ Please note: membership rosters, committee lists, and chapter officer lists must be in Excel format.

Advanced Chapter Management: ♦ If your chapter is planning on submitting documentation for advanced chapter

management, this is due by Friday, May 10, 2013. ♦ Please send the Final Submission Form to ashhra@aha.org and your Regional

Consultant once your submission is complete. ♦ Judging for Advanced Chapter Management will be done by the 2013 Regina,
