Are You Screwing Up Your Call-to-Action Phrases?

The vastness of the internet means it’s a competitive place to work, especially

when you’re trying to win over new visitors.

They can make tangible progress on the consumer’s path to purchase, sending traffic further down the funnel.

Here are 4 mistakes that undercut calls-to-action.

CTAs have tremendous utility:

Burying the CTA

Increase your CTAs visibility.

You can have a great call-to-action that fails to get results because people may not be

reading far enough down the page to view it.(Hubspot)

Making Too Many Requests

Multiple CTAs may cause prospects to become either confused or overwhelmed, & they often elect to take no action rather

than trying to make their own decision.

Keep it simple & stick to one clear call-to-action.

Not Running Your CTAs Through A/B Testing

By not testing your CTAs, you could be leaving conversions on the table.

Test 2 different CTAs within identical surrounding content (same digital ad, same landing page, etc.)

& roll out both versions at the same time.

Lacking Specificity

Being vague does not drive strong results.

A strong CTA needs to be short and direct, but also specific.
