Parts Quality Commodity Manager - leading a team responsible for MINI, BMW & Rolls Royce suppliers based in the UK & Europe (position held since 01/2016).

Studied Mechanical Engineering at Oxford Brookes University - BEng (Hons) degree.

20 years within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.

15 years experience in Supplier Quality Management at BMW Group; Responsible for industrialisation of suppliers for 2nd and 3rd generation MINI product lines, supplying production plants in the UK (Plant Oxford), Austria (Magna Graz) and Netherlands (NedCar).

Collaboration with suppliers, who add significant value to the overall product, is of priority importace. It is not possible to successfully launch vehicle products, resolve problems and maintain levels of high quality without a very positive working relationship.

Co-operation with SMMT-IF; active member of the Automotive Council Supply Chain Group: Develop competitiveness/capability work-stream & Quality-Network.

• Customer-orientation: The valid versions of relevant customer requirements are available at the supplier site, and anchored in the management system.

• Development of a Zero Defect Production System: Strict application of proactive tools (such as FMEA) culminates in the development of capable processes and the anchoring of critical attributes in the production control plan.

• Functioning Q Control loops: Defect sources are permanently eliminated as a result of effective corrective action measures.

• Quality management system: Effective QM systems are anchored throughout the entire n-tier supply chain.

• Responsibility for supervision and management assessment: Senior management is aligned to customer feedback in the form of essential KPIs (e.g., Rework, PPM, 8D, escalation levels).
