How to get a succesful meeting

Objective: Learn some useful tips for having more successful meetings

First impression

• Smile (Even if you just broke up with your couple)

• Strong handshake (Just don’t break hands please)

• Make eyed contact with the prospect (be carefully they can instantly fall in love with an AIESECr)

• Clean and formal outfit (don’t even think of going on jeans)

• Clear voice (Make sure that the other person is understanding what you’re saying)

• But above all: SELF-CONFIDENCE

The meeting (Tip’s and more)

Tip #1 Make a deep research of the company

Before you even imagine yourself crossing the door of your prospect, make a deep research about the company, the

mission, vision, and some news of the last months, GOOGLE IT!

Tip #2 make a deep research about the person you’ll talk with.

No, is not stalking… well kind of, but it is important for you to know the interests, hobbies, colleague degree, were he

do the shopping etc, again is not stalking, is for you to have a potential ICEBREAKER, believe me, it works. ;) (linkedin,

Facebook, twitter could help you)

Tip #3 Use open-ended questions or statements

Ask open-ended questions such as: Who…? What…? Why…?

When…? Were…? How…?

!

Or do some open ended statements: tell me about…

please describe…*Starting with this questions will make the conversation flow naturally most of the times, no, it’s not

magic, it’s actually how sales works.

Tip #4 Listen before you speak

Every human being love to be listened, even when you’re not a psychiatrist, you have to LISTEN CAREFULLY, and

identify the points in which you can make a value proposal for your client.

Tip #5 Before ending you’re meeting, make the next one.

Before, you say “Good bye, thank you for you’re time” set the date and hour of you’re next meeting, don’t even accept a “no i can’t” for an answer, be INSISTENT, but bot too much.

Tip #6 Self-confidence

Act like if you know what you’re doing, even if you don’t, being determined is one of the best weapons of a sales

man, if the people see that you know and trust that you’re service is one of the best options, is for sure that they will

want to buy you.

Tip #7 Practice, practice and practice

The most deep secret on being successful in sales meetings (no, is not drugs), is to practice a lot, all the time

we’re selling something, improve your sales skills in all the opportunities that you have and you will soon see the

change.
