Aluminum Bottle with a new 4 - Pack Basket Carrier

Marketing research hasalways shown that packaging is akey motivator in attracting consumers and the"aluminum bottle" is one of the "hottest" newprimary packages in the beverage market today.

Anheuser-Busch is using the high-tech, premiumpackage to position its Michelob and Michelob LightBrands to become the "Coolest" package among youngadults. Anheuser-Busch chose Graphic Packaging todevelop a new 4 pack carrier for the new 16 oz.container.

The results are 4-pack baskets that mirror the graphicson the tall 16 oz. bottle. Anheuser-Busch is targetingthe premium brand to young adults who enjoy the tactileexperience of the aluminum bottle. The bottle offers aunique allure to help bring wine and spirits consumersback into world of premium and specialty beer.

The "Ruff-RiderTM" style basketswere printed sheet-fed offset, 5 colors

plus varnish for the standard Michelob Brand and3 colors plus varnish for Michelob Light. Bothbaskets were manufactured using GraphicPackaging's .018 caliper Aqua-Kote® wet-strengthpaper board.
