The works have been acquired mostly through local arts shows, donations, gifts and direct purchases. Due to a lack of available space and for security reasons, it is not possible to have the entire collection on permanent public display. To view images of the work go to our website www.basscoast.vic.gov.au.

Harbingers of change, Photographic Exhibition, Joe Pinzone 2009
Matthew Petrucci won the first prize at the Bass Coast Acquisitive Art Exhibition with his painting Cypress Pine, Archies Creek. The painting now hangs in the Council Art Collection.
Matthew says of his art: “To capture the beauty and wonder of our natural world is the motivation that compels me to paint. I would like the viewer of my works free of the incessant ‘noise’ and clutter of everyday life.“
Please tear off and return to Arts Officer, Bass Coast Shire Council.
Many thanks to Bass Coast artists and groups for giving permission for use of their images. If you would like to included in next years ARTS arts round the shire, please contact Council’s Arts Officer on 1300 BCOAST (226 278).
