“SIT UP STRAIGHT AND STOP SLOUCHING!”

Isn’t that what comes to mind when you hear or think of the word ‘posture’?

But what is posture when it comes to business?

Basically it’s how you position yourself when talking to people about your business.

It’s your attitude… your mindset and based on your posture, it’s how others will perceive and react to you.

For example…

When talking to people about your business whether it’s via the phone, Facebook or even face-to-face, do you project neediness or do

you project authority and leadership?

Are you fearful or in control?

Do you act as though you need them or that they need what it is that YOU have to offer?

If you find yourself feeling like a

dog with its tail tucked between its legs, then you are actually exuding poor posture both physically and mentally!

I want you to repeat after me…

“Yes, I need people in my business BUT… I don’t necessarily need YOU!”

Yes, you DO need people because you need customers or clients or even business builders, but you do NOT need

people who are making demands on your time or wanting to be hand-held or who aren’t willing to work

and want to blame you when they don’t succeed.

Yes, you DO need people because you need customers or clients or even business builders, but you do NOT need

people who are making demands on your time or wanting to be hand-held or who aren’t willing to work

and want to blame you when they don’t succeed.

You don’t need people who are skeptical or who are calling what you do a scam.

And in all truth and honesty, the same thing your mom

used to tell you about your posture applies here.

When you speak to people about your business, you should

be using not only correct posture mentally, but also physically! Actually sit (or stand) up straight & tall and

hold your head up.

Begin to posture yourself when speaking with people so that they realize you don’t need them, without you even

saying it.

So here are 5 Steps to Prospecting with Posture and

Confidence…

1. BELIEVE in yourself & your abilities

2. BELIEVE in whatever you’re doing or involved in

3. DON’T take it personal

4. MAINTAIN control of the conversation

5. DON’T be afraid to take it away
