Current health trends in health outcomes and health factors are markedly different for different

subgroups within the state’s population.

Efforts to improve health in Wisconsin must consider the full array of factors that influence how

long and how well we live, and must begin with analysis of the circumstances that may produce

longer healthier lives for some, but not all, of the state’s residents.

Funding for this project was provided by the UW School of Medicine and Public Health from

the Wisconsin Partnership Program.
