YouthBuild serves disconnected youth ages 18-24

The program has met it’s enrolment goal of 48 students

The last cohort was made up of students from all around the world, 13 students from the Greater Manchester area and 5 New American students representing 4 countries on four continents: (1) Madagascar, (3) Nepal (Bhutanese refugees), (1) Croatia, and (1) Columbia

So far this year…. In Education

96% success rate on the HiSET55 Individual sections of the HiSET

○ 53 have been passing scores (8 or above) ○ 18 have been considered “College and

Career Ready” (14 or above)

9 Students receiving their HiSET (16 high school equivalency exams total)

7 Students attaining Literacy and Numeracy gains

Several students testing/retesting in July!

Case Management

The development of an individual goal plan designed to establish and follow a career pathway

Regular counseling by the case management staff to identify and address any barriers to moving forward on the student’s career pathway

A comprehensive network of local and state service providers is developed and continually built upon

Crisis intervention when a student experiences difficulties such as homelessness, abuse, substance abuse, is a victim of violence, or becomes court involved
