THE PRESENCE OF GOD IS: TANGIBLEAMAZINGREALIZED
WITNESSEDAWESEOME
A PLACE WHERE: CHILDREN ARE SAVED YOUTH ARE CALLED PEOPLE ARE HEALED HEARTS ARE MENDED COVENANTS ARE CREATED LIVES ARE TRANSFORMED
There is a new generation of Pentecostals
coming over the horizon. They are passionate,
techno-savvy, and excited about serving
Jesus and turning the world right-side-up! Some
are in our churches. Some
are in our colleges. Some are
still in the streets and need to
be embraced with the love of
Christ.
The youth of our culture are
growing up without many of
the preconceived theological
notions that are biased
against Pentecostalism. They
want to experience things
for themselves. They want
to be participants not just
observers. Many are longing
for a reality beyond the
five senses. Perhaps you
can agree with me; our hearts resonate with that
passion for God.
Where did you experience the reality of God? For
me, it began at an altar at a camp meeting. It was
at an altar that I gave my life to Christ and where
I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. The first person
I led to the Lord was at a camp meeting. All these
experiences changed my life.
WHERE DID YOU EXPERIENCE THE REALITY OF GOD?

Psalm 145:4
“One generation will commend your works to
another, they will tell of your mighty acts.”
Where will the next generation go to be impacted
by the work of the Holy Spirit? The local church
is the focal point for discipleship, growing into
mature believers, and learning to walk in the
Spirit. In addition, many of us have experienced
an encounter with God at a retreat or conference
outside the normal routine of life. My childhood
experience illustrates the value and importance
of encouraging the next generation to seek
God. Providing the opportunity for
them is an investment in their lives
personally as well as in the future of
the Kingdom of God.
Our own Conference Center is
not about buildings, activities, and
meals. It is all about investing in the
generations by providing opportunities to have
a dynamic encounter with the Almighty Creator
who is present in the everyday activities of life.

“Submit to one another out of reverence for
Christ.” (Ephesians 5:21)
For a number of months I have had the privilege of preaching
through the wonderful book of Ephesians.
As Ephesians nears its conclusion, the Apostle Paul addresses
practical, daily living—husbands and wives, children and
parents, employers and employees, before going into a
passage on spiritual warfare and armor.
Immediately preceding those sections is the
challenging verse above.
Some have used this verse to negate other scripture
passages about positional submission, such
as the verse immediately following
regarding husbands and wives. We
all understand positional submission,
particularly when a policeman (who
may be a brother in Christ) pulls us
to the side of the road. Jesus himself
modeled positional submission when
He chose to submit to the Father,
who is His equal—no more or less
divine than the Son.
But, it’s not either/or, it’s both/and.
So, how do we do this mutual submission
thing? I would suggest two things.
First, as the text states, we need to always,
always, always talk to each other as if Christ is
literally in the room, because, well, He is literally
in the room. This is part of “reverencing”
Him. He said He would be with us “always”
(Matthew 28:20). That doesn’t just mean
when we are down on our knees praying. That
also includes when we are standing and yelling.
Most of us would never consider destroying our
parent’s or grandparent’s special day by having a
fight with siblings, but we seem to not consider
the feelings of Jesus when we resort to such
antics, sometimes even in the House of God.
Second, I would suggest that we need to remember that the
Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, is in other spirit-filled believers
too. That means that we should be careful not to grieve
the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) when we communicate with
each other. You thought that passage was only for how
Spirit-led worship was administered? No, it’s meant for
Spirit-led living (see Ephesians 4:29, the verse preceding).
Have you ever considered that the Holy Spirit in someone
with whom you disagree might be wanting to speak to
a blind spot in your own life? I’ve often said that our
best critics are sometimes our worst critics. Our friends
and family are often too nice to tell us the truth.
Oh, yes, truth should be spoken in love
(Ephesians 4:15), but let me ask you this…
when truth is not spoken in love, is it still
truth? Can you recognize it? Can you
receive it…for your own benefit?
Mutual submission is best done
in an atmosphere of kindness and
compassion (Ephesians 4:32). That’s
how we become “imitators of God”
(the very next verse, Ephesians 5:1),
who, within the Triune Godhead, models
mutual submission eternally.
With mutual submission, we gain the
opportunity to transcend natural, carnal
judgments (see 1 Corinthians 2:6-16) so as
to not only avoid division (1 Corinthians 3),
but to attain the mind of Christ.
Wow, now there’s a goal for all of us for
2011!
SUBMITTING? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

YOUNG ADULTS ///
I had just spent the past two weeks
leading a group of young adult leaders
in the study of confession and the
recognition and removal of hindrances in
our prayer lives. The final objective was
to lead them in a simple exercise of quiet
listening to God.
I challenged the group to ask God to
reveal any hindrances to prayer in their
lives and show them areas of their
hearts that had not yet been turned
over to Him. In addition, they were to
open themselves to anything the Holy
Spirit wanted to reveal to them. After
the time lapsed, I asked the question,
“What do you think?” which was
followed by, “Whoa…that was deep.”
This was followed by silence and looks
of amazement as they reflected on their
encounters with God.
For the past ten years, I have had the
privilege of working with young adults
through the local church. Considered by
many to be the most elusive population
in the church, as I type these words,
I am reminded of the need these
young people have to be introduced,
nurtured, steered, and influenced for the
Kingdom.
At a time in their lives when Mom and
Dad’s faith seems more like a pair of
jeans in the Kohl’s department store
dressing room – tried on for size – the
church needs to be challenged in its
awareness, deliberate relationship
building, and outreach to young adults.
If we do not meet this task, we risk
seeing these young men and women
becoming more statistics in the “loss”
column. The reality of this challenge is
that eternity is at stake.
Would you consider joining us as
we develop awareness and ministry
opportunities for the young adult
population within the PennDel
Network? Pastors and/or young adult
leaders can help us by forwarding
to my attention the name and
contact information of your young
adult ministry leader. We can then
use this information at the District
level as we coordinate and develop
communication strategies across the
PennDel Ministry Network to reach
these souls for the Kingdom. JIM DINGER Young Adult Coordinator

essential church?By Thom S. Ranier and Sam Rainer III
This is a great book to launch your quest
to reach out and retain the young adults
of your church and community. The
Rainers look at why young people leave
the church and how to repair that swing-
ing back door.
70% of churchgoing young adults
dropout between the ages of 18 and 22.
27% of these young adults just do not
find the church essential to their lives. The authors study what
they call “Essential Churches”. What do these essential churches
do to keep and attract young adults?
They….
• Simplify – A simple structure to connect and disciple
people
• Deepen – An intentional plan for deep spiritual growth
• Expect – High expectations of serving and belonging
• Multiply - A mission of evangelism and other outwardly
focused ministries
This is more than just another book about developing an authen-
tic spiritual community; essential church? will help you under-
stand and develop a strategy to begin keeping the young men
and women God has called you to shepherd.

PROJECT 7118“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake
me, O God, till I declare your power to the next
generation, your might to all who are to come.”
Psalm 71:18
Every year we register, commission, and resource
hundreds of Campus Missionaries across Pennsylvania
and Delaware. These CMs are middle and high school
students who are making a commitment to pray, live, tell,
serve and give so that those around them might know
Jesus. One of the most effective resources put into the
hands of these CMs in the Fire Bible, Student Edition. It
is the Word of God in its entirety, surrounded by relevant
commentary and practical steps for living. This resource
has proven to be a great commodity for students who
are becoming more like Jesus with an intentional eye for
reaching the lost.
In order to continue this valuable resource, Light For
the Lost has partnered with Youth Alive in establishing
the “Project 7118 Fund.” Every church that gives to
LFTL Project 7118 will be helping us to
continue this cause of raising

Hey Jason!
I haven’t seen you since the Seven Project came to my school last year, and people are still talking about it. I can’t thank you enough for all the
lives you and your ministry have helped. :)
For a while now, God has been calling me to start a bible study in my school and the circumstances have never seemed to be quite right. Well, God’s been doing some awesome things and this year, Camp Hill got a new teacher who loves the Lord and agreed to be the faculty member
who would help us out! So now Camp Hill has a bible study that meets every other
Friday over lunch!!!! And so many great things are happening there!
I can’t believe God picked me!
Just wanted to let you know! and thanks so much!

ABERA and MARY
HELLEMOEfraim and Ruth
MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Abera and Mary were
born and raised in
Christian families in Ethiopia. During the former
communist regime Pentecostal churches were
persecuted and went underground. We migrat-
ed to Denmark and took up the cause of refu-
gees establishing and leading an ethnic church.
We came to the United States in 2001 and
completed our education. Abera and Mary are
the direct results of the early western missionary
work in Ethiopia. Our family has accepted God’s
call to go to Moscow with the same message of
hope, healing and the pure word of God that
brings all people to a close relationship with
Himself. Our mission in Moscow is to pastor the
International Christian Assembly, with a composi-
tion of as many as fifty nations from diplomats
to international college students. Partners are
needed who want to be agents of Christ’s love in
a world of hatred, offering prayer and financial
support.
SHAHAN and TYRA
TEBERIANDaniel, Anna, Abigail, and
Madeline
ARMENIAWe have both known
that God was calling us
to lifetimes of service since we were young children.
Our very first conversation was about doing missions
work abroad. Since that day in early 1997, God has
been revealing Himself to us. As Shahan has worked
as a lawyer for over seventeen years, and as our family
has grown to include four beautiful children, God has
confirmed for us that these years were a vital season
of preparation and training for this critical time. He has
engraved on our hearts the central truth of our faith –
that everything we do as Christians, within the Church
or without, must be done with the purpose of sharing
the love of God with the unreached and the unsaved.
In making His will known to us, God has identified
the nation of Armenia as the place where He wants
our family to serve in furtherance of this purpose. Our
spirits have been stirred and revived by the national
Church in Armenia, and our hearts have been pierced
by the opportunities and challenges presented by this
ancient land.

UPDATE
I am pleased to report the Rajasthan Initiative cash and commitments total $485,000! We are well on our
way to surpassing our $500K goal by District Council 2011. To God be the glory!
The Missionary Team in Rajasthan reports a fabulous end to 2010! The week before Christmas the team
was able to sign agreements to purchase the original property and building for the leadership training
school, Rajasthan Institute of Theology. This is the first time in the history of the school that it has had its
own property. This will launch the school to a whole new level where enrollment can be increased and
additional training programs developed for church planters in northwest India. This property will also serve
as the campus for Life Center Academy (a non-formal school for poor children). This property purchase is
made possible because of the Rajasthan Initiative! The team looks forward to sharing the stories of how
the Lord uses this property to move the Kingdom forward in 2011.

ROYAL RANGERS ///
Social media has changed the nature of
communication in the way the telegraph and wireless
radio changed communication decades ago. You may
choose to write it off as a fad or a trend that will soon
fade away, but do so at your own risk. Remember, there
were many people who thought cell phones were just
“toys” for people with too much extra money. Now most
of us have one within arm’s reach 24 hours a day. With a
cell phone you can gain access to Facebook, Twitter, news
feeds, MySpace, Linkedin, Friend Feed, YouTube and more.
So how can you use social media to grow your ministry?
First, you could set up an account with Facebook, Twitter
or both (it’s free)! If you are new to this, you may want to
start with Facebook. Spend some time to set up your profile,
including a profile picture. Once you are set up, connect with
your friends. Once you get started adding some friends, you will
see how easily your network grows.
The next step would be to build a “Fan Page” for your ministry.
This is very easy to do, as is almost everything in Facebook. Invite
your friends to become “fans.” This helps to keep your personal
information and your ministry information separate. You should
dedicate a certain amount of time each day to add something
new to your fan page. Even a quick statement like, “Plans are
coming together for the banquet next Saturday,” are enough to
keep people interested. With social media it’s not “what you say,
it’s how often you say it.” It’s time to get connected. Connect
with the PennDel District Royal Rangers on Facebook.

GIRLS MINISTRIES ///
“Everyone Welcome” is a sign that often greets
churchgoers on a Sunday morning. This sign of
invitation indicates that each person entering the doors
would be a welcome guest in that church community.
For adults and children with disabilities, however, this
sign is often not true. Most churches understand God’s
call stated in I Corinthians 12:27: “Now you are the
body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
Churches want to create a welcome for each person,
but they often don’t know how.
The Girls Ministries Impact!, scheduled for April 8-9 at the Bongiorno
Conference Center in Carlisle, PA will provide training sessions concerning the
ministry needs to students with autism or autism spectrum disorder. Keynote
speaker Barbara Newman is a church and school consultant for Christian
Learning Center Network based in Wyoming, Michigan. She is the author of
Helping Kids Include Kids with Disabilities, The Easter Book, and Autism
and Your Church: Nurturing the Spiritual Growth of People with Autism
Spectrum Disorders. Barbara will be speaking on three important
areas: Autism and Your Church, Inclusion Tool Box, and The Behavior
Management Playing Field. Understanding how
important these areas are to all ministries working
with children, the sessions will be open to
any adult leader in the local church. This
includes Girls Ministries Sponsors, Royal Ranger
Commanders, Children’s Pastors –
anyone who works with children.
The cost for the entire weekend is
$98 (includes lodging and meals)
or $65 for Saturday (includes
meals). Pre-registration can be
