Send Residence Hall License, Attendance Response Form, and Health Form. A faxed or scanned copy is fine for these forms. We do need originals of the health form, TOEFL, and financial documents.

Getting to SUNY New PaltzGetting to SUNY New Paltz Classes for Fall 2009 begin on August 24 and end on December 7.

You should plan to arrive at JFK on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 if you want transportation to campus.

Classes for Spring 2010 begin on January 25 and end on May 11.

You should plan to arrive at JFK on Wednesday,January 20, 2010 to participate in new student orientation.

Graduation will be held on May 23, 2010.

You must have a minimum GPA of 1.8 to come to SUNY New Paltz.

New students must maintain a cGPA of 2.70 in business. Students who fall

below this level will be put on academic probation. The cGPA must be raised to the appropriate level the following semester to avoid dismissal.

Orientation, Course Registration and the Start of Classes

Orientation for new students will be held beginning January 21. New students will receive student ID cards (returning students should bring them), computer and phone accounts. All students will pay bills and finalize course schedules.

Academic PoliciesAcademic Policies A minimum grade of C- must be earned in

all business courses. A minimum grade of D- counts toward the completion of the GE

classes.

Failed classes must be retaken which may extend your time in the program. You are also responsible for paying for the costs of any additional courses.

Withdrawn or dropped business classes must be retaken at New Paltz; you must have greater than a 3.0 GPA to take an overload of classes at New

Paltz.

Other PoliciesOther PoliciesSmoking is not allowed in any campus buildings, including the residence halls.Students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, although the bathrooms will be cleaned by staff.Talking in class is perceived as very disrespectful to the professors.Some professors have mandatory attendance policies which can affect your grade (check the syllabus for each course).
