TO REMEMBERThe Present tense of verb BE is used to :

REMEMBER… When you make affirmative sentences with the third

person singular  follow these rules:

• Verb ending in ch, sh or x  add – es

eg. wash washes

watch watches mix mixes.• Verb ending in consonant + y: change y to i and add – 

es.
