• Talking on the Phone

• Eating/Drinking

• Grooming

• Using Your GPS

• Talking with Passengers

In 2012, 171.3 billion text messages were sent

every month in the U.S.

Over 660,000 American drivers are

using their cell phones or other

electronic devices while they drive. 2

25% of teenagers respond to 1 or more texts every

time they drive. 3

10% of parents admit they have texted their

teens while they drive.

Distracted driving increases the chance of getting

into an accident by 3x’s!

10% of fatal car accidents involving drivers under 20

were the result of distracted driving.

27% of distracted drivers in fatal car

accidents were in their 20’s.

accident as a result of a districted driver.

Every day, over 1,060 people are in car
