Looking ahead
With the successful joint presentation of the swimming pool sectors from aquanale
(International Trade Fair for Sauna. Pool. Ambience) and FSB Public swimming pool
construction in 2013 in particular, all sectors involved made a decisive step forward
and confi rmed the theory that integrated trade-fair concepts should always be
developed and advanced together.
Uniting the conventional and the innovative
AMENITY AREAS – SPORTS and PUBLIC POOL FACILITIES are structured anew,
in order to better leverage existing synergies and to create new networks.
Benefi ts, Global and Domestic
The FSB has enjoyed an international reputation since 1969. It has always been
particularly important to take into account changes in the market and to implement
them into the fair concept. From 2015 on, the fair will no longer take place during
North Rhine Westphalia’s autumn holidays and is therefore guaranteed unrestricted
attention from municipal decision-makers, planners, landscape architects and sporting
associations.
AS THE WORLD’S LEADING INDUSTRY

Our concept to organise the FSB and aquanale with the same event schedule
and duration has gone over very well: We have received so much encouragement
from the industry on the topic. The new date, falling outside of North Rhine
Westphalia’s autumn holidays, speaks directly to the presence of planning
offi ces and to target the public demand side of the NRW metropolitan area. «
Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Offi cer of Koelnmesse
The FSB attracts all the market leaders to the pulsating Cologne, as well as top deci-
sion-makers. Every two years the international number one industry platform brings
together leaders from local authorities, sports clubs and associations and a highly
innovative industry. Operators from all areas meet architects, planners and investors.
Around 90 per cent of the trade visitors from 115 countries are directly involved in
purchasing decisions. The international share of trade visitors is over 55% and the
