TRENCH FOUNDATION - TBC ON SITE750mm x 600mm trench fill foundations, concrete mix toconform to BS EN 206-1 and BS 8500-2. All foundations tobe a minimum of 1000mm below ground level, exact depthto agreed on site with Building Control Officer to suit siteconditions. All constructed in accordance with 2004 BuildingRegulations A1/2 and BS 8004:1986 Code of Practice forFoundations. Ensure foundations are constructed belowinvert level of any adjacent drains. Base of foundationssupporting internal walls to be min 600mm below groundlevel. Sulphate resistant cement to be used if required.Please note that should any adverse soil conditions ordifference in soil type be found or any major tree roots inexcavations, the Building Control Officer is to be contactedand the advice of a structural engineer should be sought.

SUSPENDED BLOCK AND BEAM FLOORRemove top soil & vegetation, apply weed killer –The underside of beams not less than 150mm above the top of the ground. Ventilation openings having anopening area of 1500mm² per metre run of perimeter wall or 500mm² per squaremetre of floor area, whichever is the greater. Sleeper walls shall be of honeycombedconstruction or have provision for distribution of ventilation.

Provide polythene vapour barrierbetween insulation and plasterboard. Provide opening ateaves level at least equal to continuous strip 25mm wide intwo opposite sides to promote cross-ventilation. Monopitched roofs to have ridge/high level ventilation equivalentto a 5mm gap via proprietary tile vents spaced inaccordance with manufacturer’s details.
