We are living in an era where technology is advancing

faster than we could have ever imagined. In order to keep

pace with the changing scenario, we need to acquire

professional education, which will help us in developing

our human resources according to global needs.

The choice of a college where you will pursue professional

education and which would provide you the place from

where you will embark on your first journey towards your

career is an important decision. For this you require to

take into account many factors, the most relevant ones

being infra-structural facilities, teaching-learning process,

academic ambience, development activities, industry-

institute relationships, etc.

Jawahar Vidyalaya Society Group currently consists of two

institutes- Aligarh College of Engineering and Technology

(ACET) and Aligarh College of Pharmacy (ACP) at Mathura

Road, Aligarh.

We at ACET, emphasize on imparting quality education in

various disciplines of B.Tech., MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA.

During the last eleven years we have made concerted

efforts to make ACET as one of the best engineering

institutes in the country. The faculty members of the

institute have been selected carefully and updated

continuously by exposing them to the recent technical

innovations.

Aligarh College of Pharmacy (ACP) was started in 2006-

2007 with an intake of 60 students for a four year Bachelor

of Pharmacy programme. The Aligarh College of Pharmacy

is committed to promote the highest professional and

ethical standards of pharmacy.

Both the ACET and ACP are well equipped with all

necessary facilities to acquire a sound knowledge of

theoretical as well as practical aspects of the academic

discipline that students would pursue. We also emphasize

on personality development of our students alongwith

high quality professional education.

The atmosphere at ACET and ACP is friendly, cordial and

perfectly suited to all round development of the students.

You are welcome to ACET and ACP to share a challenging

experience and to gain professional education that will

nurture your creativity and intellectual skills.

Jawahar Vidyalaya Society

Really speaking, education is a multidimensional process. It brings

drastic changes in social structures and reduction of inequality

and poverty which are the real curse for the society.

Aligarh being one of the less developed districts of the state

suffers from these ailments. There was a great need of the

educational development of this area in order to reduce these

maladies. The Jawahar Vidyalaya Society established here the

professional institutes with these aims.

The Jawahar Vidyalaya Society group of institutes offers you

congenial academic environment and several other opportunities

to shape the future of the budding professionals. We also aim at

developing moral and social values, cultural identity, self esteem

and good citizenship. The institutes also promote extra curricular,

recreational and other allied activities for the over all

development of the students.

I feel great pleasure in welcoming you to Jawahar Vidyalaya

Society group of institutes and hope that you find this a novel

experience of your life.

A good discipline is required for all

education institutes. In our college the

students are required to maintain the

strict code of conduct within the campus

as well as outside so as to develop

discipline based quality education to

mould them into sincere, dedicated and

responsible citizens. We make all out

efforts to solve problems of the students

and encourage them to study in a cordial

atmosphere.

We look forward to share our passion for

professional education with you.

Dr. Vinod SharmaM.A., Ph.D., MBA (HR)

Director (Administration)

Engineering education in the last two

decades in the country has expanded at

a tremendous pace due to global

economic and trade liberalisation. This

has profoundly affected the quality of

education, as a result, the employers

often find it difficult to recruit new

engineering graduates with right

technical and communication skills.

We at ACET are fully aware of the

challenges and problems, and commit

ourselves to develop and nurture the

talents of our students so as to enable

them to become a successful techno-

professional in a highly competitive and

fast changing world.

B.Tech in civil engineering is the study of various modes of construction and planning. The study is emphasized on the constructions of buildings and ways of planning the construction. People in this field play a key role in the construction and development of the society. With the fast and rapid growth in the real estate sector, the study of civil engineering is very much important and useful. The objective of the graduate programme in Civil Engineering at ACET is the education of engineers with a deep understanding of scientific principles underlying their specialization so that they can make fundamental contributions to the field through research and development of advanced technology. As a student proceeds along the programme, the emphasis shifts from analysis to design, and from skill development

theoretical to the problem-solving approach.

The Graduate programme is designed to strengthen theoretical concepts of structural analysis & designs in consultation with faculty and professional experts. The course work is designed in such a way that the proper learning skills of individual student is developed by working himself on current developments in the field of Civil Engineering. Students carry out their experimental projects in well-equipped laboratories. With the ongoing development in the real estate sector, Civil Engineers are in great demand. pharmaceutical education which is

one of the important fields of the 21st

century and promises to have the

potential to solve a wide variety of

challenges faced by the modern

society including analysis of food

materials, pharmaceuticals, medicines

etc.

The Jawahar Vidyalaya Society had

Pharmacy is an exciting and significant

medical profession for the 21st century.

It is responsible for the appropriate use

of medications, devices and services to

achieve optimal therapeutic outcome.

The job opportunities for a pharmacy

degree holder are continuously

increasing day by day mainly due to

health awareness and increased

pharmaceutical needs of a larger and

older population. Pharmacy is the art

and science of preparing and dispensing

medications and the provision of drug

related information to the public. It

involves the interpretation of prescription

orders; the compounding, labeling and

dispensing of drugs and devices; drug

product selection and drugs utilization

reviews; patient monitoring and

intervention; and the provision of

cognitive services related to use of

medications and devices.

Pharmacy is conceived basically as a

knowledge system that renders a health

service by concerning itself with

understanding drugs and their effects.

Pharmacy education offers knowledge

about many aspects of health and

disease and remedies which enable a

person to lead a healthy life. Pharmacy

graduates can be absorbed in

production, quality control, marketing,

research and development of

pharmaceutical industry and hospitals.

Some of them may opt to go for higher

education and teaching. The Aligarh

College of Pharmacy (ACP) was

established by Jawahar Vidyalaya Society

in the year 2006 with the main objective

of providing quality education in the

pharmaceutical sciences.

The college is fully committed towards

quality education both in theory and

practical. We ensure overall development

of the students in addition to their

regular academic curriculum, by inviting

experts from private and public sector

enterprises.
