Head Teacher Cameron Miller and his dedicated band of industrial arts teachers have finished building the first bench. The first design is for a metal work bench which as you can see, has a metal frame. The second design will be for wood work, where the perimeter will be made of wood. The tops of the tables are timber and can be replaced with new inserts when the original is worn or damaged. This feature gives the tables longevity and value for money. Another feature is to have hooks under the benches where students can hang their bags, making the industrial arts rooms free of potential trip hazards. This is a great joint project involving funding from the P&C, design by the industrial arts department teachers, and the students who will be involved building the tables. Higher School Certificate As their HSC examinations approach, parents and students may experience increased anxiety. Students have been through several relaxation sessions this year and study preparation sessions. The information provided gives a good basis to start with. If you are concerned or struggling, please contact the school for further assistance. We want all students to be their best so they can do their best. Parents can help by ensuring a quiet area dedicated to study and supporting a regular routine. Good diet, sleep and some relaxation all form part of a model that allows students to perform at their best in the HSC. The HSC Study guide by the Sydney Morning Herald and promoted by NESA is a worthwhile source to assist students in preparing for the HSC. It is available by following this link: https://hsc-study-guide-2019.smh.com.au/

Parents/guardians who wish to withdraw their consent for any reason may do so by writing to the school Principal or phoning the school. The Procedure for Withdrawal of Consent is

available on the NSW Health website at www.health.nsw.gov.au/immunisation. Please ensure that your child is wearing their sports uniform or a short sleeve shirt on the vaccination day (without any long sleeved layers underneath), this will enable a smooth vaccination process. A Record of Vaccination will be provided to each student vaccinated at the time of vaccination. Parents/guardians should ensure that this record is kept for future reference.
