    To study the various sector of Advisors and tofind out the effective sector who do better sales.

    To study the training process given for FinancialAdvisors who cleared IRDA exams.

    To find out the impact of training process in thesales of the company.

    The project work has been undertaken in ICICI

    Prudential Life Insurance Company, Chennai-Nungambakam branch.

    The entire project is based on the recruitmentmethod followed by Unit Managers andRecruitment Officers of ICICI Prudential LifeInsurance Company, Chennai- Nungambakambranch.

    The study was conducted in the time period of2nd January 30th April 2008.

    Data collected was not gathered from the seniormanagement, restricted to the junior management, so thehigher degree of refined answers was not justified with thecollected information.

    Access to the files and records of the employees wasrestricted and is not at all possible to know about thepersonal traits of the employees under study with details.

    The respondents were hesitating to co-operate and most ofthe time they feel that giving information for a report is justa waste of time.

    Recruiting Officers is a new concept in ICICI Prudential.Those persons were lack in knowledge about therecruitment method followed.

    Descriptive research design has been used forthis study.

    Questionnaire has been used to collect the data.

    Judgement sampling method was adopted.

    Totally there are 80 Unit Managers and 15Recruiting Officers in that branch. The sample

    size of the study is 60.

    Percentage Analysis and Weighted AverageMethod has been used as tools.

    32% of the recruiters using tele calling as amajor recruiting method to recruit FinancialAdvisors. The recruiters appoint tele callers forthis purpose.

    37% of the recruiters using both sources ofrecruitment to recruit Financial Advisors.

    37% of the recruiters said that retired personsare the effective sector people of FinancialAdvisors. After that house wives is in thesecond place according to the recruiters.

    32% of the recruiters said that retired personsare the good sector who do sales better thanother sector people.

    65% of the recruiters said that they providetraining for the Financial Advisors who areselected through IRDA exams.

    55% of the recruiters believe that the training

    programs are helping Financial Advisors toimprove their sales skills.

    Effective communication media should beselected to convey the information to all set ofpeople.

    Advertisement can be given through Internet

    portals to cover the students who are willing todo part time job.

    Recruit the people who are already experienced

    with this field to do better sales.

    Encourage tele callers by giving incentives to getmore appointment and to find the interestedpeople.

    The commission amount should be creditedimmediately to the Recruiting Officers after theyrecruit people. It will encourage them to recruitmore persons.

    Activity programs conducted by the Unitmanagers can also increased, so that lot ofpeople come to know the opportunity to earnmoney by part time.

    Training should be given to the people who arerecruited before the IRDA exams. It will increasethe percentage of clearing the exams.
