TRANSCRIPT
If we acknowledge school doesn’t work for all kids and some kids are left outside
the margins; That this leads to inequality in education, and in turn, the world.
If we believe one of the major ingredients missing in school is imagination;
That imagination can unlock the potential of kids outside the margins so they can
start creating change from within to make schools fairer; If we see that unleashing
a spirit of imagination system-wide can help solve the biggest challenges of today
and tomorrow;
If we believe teachers, who once held the power of information for kids, now face a
very different challenge, with kids now having access to a world of information in
their pockets; That the challenge of the 21st century for teachers and educators
is to cross the line to stand alongside kids; To evolve from lecturers into guides,
problem-solvers, advisors, mentors;
Then we are ready to meet AIME:
A group tirelessly working on unlocking, testing and proving an Imagination
Curriculum fit for every school in the world;
A group that is developing a set of training tools for educators worldwide, infused
with its 21 core values, so teachers can evolve into mentors.
A group looking to transform education from the inside out, through imagination
and mentoring, to create equality, more access to opportunities and in turn a
fairer world.
Welcome to AIME, The Social Network for Good, and the home of the revolution.

WHO WE ARE
We’re a global movement for change, and everything we do at AIME is to tackle the rapidly rising inequalities of the world. To ensure the change we’re creating within AIME, ripples out into the wider world and creates long-term behavioural change, we’ve set up our own Social Network for Good: a worldwide movement of people who rise up and act to create a fairer world and build bridges between those
with power and those without.
We mobilise university students, school teachers, and everyday citizens to rise up and become mentors and deliver the Imagination Curriculum to unleash the potential of the world’s marginalised youth. We deliver data, stories and resources so educators and social entrepreneurs anywhere can integrate our imagination tools and philosophy into their work to transform school and life opportunities for marginalised youth. We inspire those with power to create jobs, donate their wealth or time, share their knowledge, shift their behaviours, and reshape policies to in turn tackle the world’s inequality gap by lifting up the next generation of kids left outside the margins. We unlock the potential of marginalised youngsters so they can lead change for themselves and their communities by achieving educational parity, have fast tracked entrepreneurship opportunities and build their moral, ethical and psychological fortitude to navigate the challenges of the 21st century; and in turn, rise up as mentors themselves - to show the earth that they are in fact not the problem, but the solution.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK FOR GOOD:A worldwide movement of everyday humans, working relentlessly to build a fairer world
WHO WE ARE
THE PLATFORMS WE USE TO FAST-TRACK CHANGE ARE:
- Our website + a downloadable app, the virtual base of the Network
- University lecture halls, where we recruit next-gen leaders and
train them to be mentors
- School classrooms, where we inspire marginalised youth to rise
up and create change
- School assemblies’ takeover, where we put on an Imagination
show for the entire school to join the movement
- Hooded Scholarships & Imagination Ambassadorships, where we offer yearly
scholarships to school and University students to become changemakers
- School teacher training, where we equip teachers with the skills & tools
necessary to evolve into mentors
- Training for governments, corporates and civil society leaders, to open up
fairer opportunities by shifting their behaviours towards marginalised youth
- Books/ Films/ Apparel/ Global Stages/ Other Media, where we creatively share
our learnings with the whole world to pick up and implement

THE CASE STUDY:
Since 2005, we’ve been using our Imagination Curriculum and our model of mentoring to help alleviate educational inequality for one of the most marginalised groups in the world - Indigenous Australian youth. We’ve created over 39,500 mentee experiences* for these kids.
In Australia, the Imagination Curriculum has been proven to create educational parity, unlock mindsets and accelerate change and entrepreneurship for marginalised youth, while generating $1.17 billion net direct impact each year for the economy (KPMG, 2018).
Over 15 years, in order to scale AIME across Australia, we’ve had to refine our offering over and over. The pace of this refinement has accelerated even more since we went global in 2017.
Today, our repeatable Imagination Curriculum is being delivered in five countries spanning three continents - Australia, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and the US - helping transform 7500+ young lives each year across diverse cultures and demographics.
* The mentee experience is a metric used to measure our longitudinal impact. It shows the cumulative number of mentees who have participated in the AIME program since 2005, aggregated year on year.

MENTORING:Giving those with privilege a purpose - to unlock the power
of education for marginalised youth
HOW WE DELIVER IT
AIME AUSTRALIA:
We aim to deliver a world-class program for 6,500+ Indigenous youth each year to achieve parity in high school progress, completion, and transition to university/training and employment, while unlocking their mindsets, and accelerating change and entrepreneurship.
We commit to working to shift the education system as a whole by engaging with current and future power-holders.
This includes engaging with:
- School leadership and teachers across our 250+ schools each year to adopt the products and philosophies of our Imagination Curriculum and AIME’s model of mentoring so the change can be fast-tracked and taken outside of AIME rooms.
- Around 2,000 university students each year as leaders, working with them to change their behaviour and graduate them as mentors for the future.
Through partnerships, we will focus on changing behaviours of employers, governments, university leaders and others to open more equal opportunities for Indigenous Australian youth on their road to equality, and our road to a fairer world.
2023 GOALS.
THE FUTURE
AIME GLOBAL:
We will test the Imagination Curriculum and AIME’s model of mentoring globally through independent research, working with 1,000+ marginalised youth from diverse demographics across 5+ countries to establish a global case study with the potential to transform education systems worldwide.
AIME+:
We aim to build an off-the-shelf toolkit by trialling and distilling individual components of the Imagination Curriculum and AIME’s model of mentoring, so educators and social entrepreneurs anywhere can pick it up and create change for marginalised youth in their communities.
