The Cenomic™ series combines the traditional design of a

horizontal full volume bead mill with novel construction ele-

ments for improved process efficiency. The smart execution

provides a striking cost benefit balance while increasing pro-

ductivity.

Solution packages from Bühler.Optimized pass- and recirculation operation.

As a process technology expert for both pass- and recirculation operation, Bühler is able to carry out the optimal solution for each customer.

Ingredients are mixed in the cooled tank and,

if applicable pre-dispersed. Efficient pre-

grinding increases product quality, as well as

overall productivity of the production line.

Fine milling is carried out on the Cenomic™

bead mill in pass operation. Using several

mills in sequence (multi-pass operation), a

narrower particle size distribution is achieved.

In addition, this set-up allows incremental en-

try of the required milling energy and addi-

tional cooling of the temperature sensitive

formulation using a heat exchanger if neces-

sary. The product can be gently conveyed

using screw pumps. A mass flow meter facili-

tates process control and minimizes the risk

of dry-running.

Ingredients are mixed in the cooled tank and, if

applicable pre-dispersed. Efficient pre-grinding

increases product quality, as well as overall pro-

ductivity of the production line. Fine milling is car-

ried out on the MicroMedia™ high performance

mill, operated in circulation mode. The excellent

cooling capability of the MicroMedia™ mill makes

an additional heat exchanger obsolete. In this

compact layout, the product is circulated through

the mill until the desired particle size is reached.

The mill is ideally suited for high flow rates which

enables high turnover numbers and consequently

a narrow particle size distribution. Circulation

operation allows entry of any energy amount and

therefore exact process control. The product

slurry can be gently conveyed using screw

pumps. A mass flow meter facilitates process

control and minimizes the risk of dry-running.
