CLASS DESCRIPTIONSCOURSE I: AG MECHANICS IThis course will allow students with little or no shop experience develop knowledge and skills in the applications of principles technical systems used in agriculture production and service. Students will develop the following skills: • Tool Identification• Safety and proper tool use• Construction methods• Irrigation systems• Farm equipment operation• Welding

COURSE II: AG MECHANICS IIPrerequisites: : Ag Mechanics IThis course will allow second year students to further develop their basics skills in metal fabrication and agriculture construction processes. The course will focus on: • Materials and Tool Identification• Arc Welding• MIG Welding• Gas Welding and cutting• Proper Measurement Techniques • Project Planning

• Blue Print Design/Drafting• Tractor Operations• Small engine repair• Small Project Fabrication

COURSE III: AG MECHANICS IIIPrerequisites: Ag Mechanics IIThis course will expand students’ knowledge and skills in Agriculture Mechanics with an emphasis on metal and wood shop applications. The course will integrate construction skills through project design and assembly. Students will leave this course with skills in: • Blue Print Reading• Construction Technology• Welding• Shop Procedures• Safety Operations• Farm Equipment servicing• Tractor maintenance
