AGENDA-Modules 1-5

The speaker is trained to encourage active participation from the audience. Techniques such as case studies, role-playing, open questions, games, quizzes, etc., are used to constantly stimulate the audience and to maximize the acquisition and retention of knowledge. Lecture time is kept to a minimum. The techniques of counseling are learned by role-playing and case studies. The handouts are designed to encourage note-taking in logical places to further reprocess the newly acquired information.

FACULTY AND SPEAKERS

CEDH speakers use homeopathic medicines in their daily practice and are engaged in pharmaceutical counseling. They have followed the CEDH “Train the Trainer” program to acquire training skills and know-how to present the modules. The faculty regularly updates the content and the format to ensure that the most current research is included, and that the training meets ACPE Standards for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education.

All continuing pharmacy education programs accredited by Northeastern University are transferred electronically to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) CPE Monitor System. Continuing Pharmacy Education credits will be issued to participants electronically by logging onto the website www.rxce.neu.edu, creating an account (which includes an NABP Identification Number), inserting the activity specific code number and successfully completing the activity assessment/evaluation form. Dr. Gary Kracoff is a registered pharmacist with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. He is currently a pharmacist at Johnson Compounding & Wellness Center in Waltham, Mass., providing guidance and in-depth consultative services. His philosophy is to treat the person as a whole, not chase symptoms. He focuses on finding the “why” to what is happening physically and mentally, and works with individuals to restore balance in the body. He frequently lectures at pharmacy, medical and health-oriented conferences and is now the educator at the Academy of Integrative Medicine, conducting two-day seminars for health care professionals twice a year. Dr. Kracoff also serves on the faculty of the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy.
