Authorizing the Civil Division of the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney'sOffice to retain Dr. Daniel B. Pearson as an expert witness in Cause No. DV-OO­01494, styled Christopher Shawn Sempe and Carl Raymond Sempe, by andthrough their next friend Cindy Lambert vs. The County of Dallas.

15. COURT ORDER:

Adopting an order calling the election in the name of the Dallas County HospitalDistrict within the District's corporate territory on November 4, 2008, to permit thevoters to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the Proposition "Authorizing the Dallas CountyHospital District to pledge the revenues from its Hospital System and from the AdValorem Tax that was previously approved by the voters to the payment ofCombination Tax Revenue Bonds and other obligations that will be issued andexecuted for the capital purposes of the Hospital Systems."

16. COURT ORDER:

Approving the contract renewal between Dallas County and The Texas Commissionon Environmental Quality (TCEQ), as outlined, and authorizing the County Judge toexecute the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

Approving the revised physical examination policy and authorizing the immediateinclusion of such policy into the Dallas County Code.

21. COURT ORDER:

Authorizing Parkland Health and Hospital System to grant an easement to the Cityof Dallas to allow passage of the wastewater line across the property theycurrently lease to Texas Women's University (TWU).

Authorizing the Dallas County Auditor and Dallas County Treasurer to releasepayroll to employees assigned to the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Office ofJuvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, Juvenile Accountability Block Grant andTexas Juvenile Probation Commission grants pending return of fully executedcontract documents.

33. COURT ORDER:

Approving the Juvenile Department to enter into an inter-local agreement withDenton County for residential treatment services in Denton County Post­Adjudication Program for the remainder of FY2008 and the 2009 fiscal year, andauthorizing the County Judge to sign the contract documents on behalf of DallasCounty.

Approving the Office of Information Technology to purchase the requestedhardware and software and approving the Professional Services Contract withTekwarp IT Solutions for the services of Jake Bays, and authorizing the DallasCounty Judge to sign the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

Approving acceptance of a donation from The Meadows Foundation in the amountof $50,000.00 for the purchase and installation of air conditioning units for victimsof heat crisis in Dallas County, and authorizing a discretionary exemption fromcompetitive purchasing requirements as allowed by Local Government Code,Chapter 22.024(a)(2).

Authorizing the Professional Services Contract with New Solutions, Inc., in theamount of $45,000, to develop a comprehensive HIV/AIDS services plan inaccordance with the Ryan White Treatment Modernization Act of 2006 Part AGrant, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the Contract and any relateddocuments on behalf of Dallas County.

37. COURT ORDER:

Approving the FY2009 Department of State Health Services (DSHS) HIV Services(State Services) Contract No. 2009-028105, effective September 1, 2008 throughAugust 31, 2009, in the amount of $1,661,830, and authorizing the County Judgeto sign the Contract and any related documents on behalf of Dallas County.

38. COURT ORDER:

Approving the renewal agreement for Mosquito Testing with the City of Cedar Hill,and authorizing the County Judge to sign the agreement on behalf of DallasCounty.

Approving the Department of State Health Service (DSHS), Contract No. 2009­028254-001, (RLSS - Local Public Health System), and authorizing the CountyJudge to sign the contract and all related documents on behalf of Dallas County.
