Seventh partnership meeting in Bielefeld9th May 2014

Review of the project landmarks and monuments

BannersThe banners are unique and brilliant for dissemination. It's one of the highlights where massive pupils are involved. The different styles of the banners, was a great idea.Two persons from the Parliament in Berlin and a politician from Dusseldorf involved in education are coming tonight to the exhibition. It is worth considering that we hand the banners around to all countries involved after the exhibition so that we all could show them in our schools.

MeetingsEach meeting has also been unique. Today we have seen an impressing multiply of performances in the Tieplatz Schule. One of the learning outcomes is to link the project to the curriculum for instance dance, drama and art as a part of learning process in school.

Parliamentary activitiesThe dealing with politicians is important and very good.Collaborative activities are important to learn how systems work in different schools.

Outcomes Learning outcomes across curricular subjects have been very important. We also have been created f two e-Twinning projects, banners, project calendar, the art blog and the website.

Evaluation report Carmine mentioned two important points that were left out from the report; the soil and water in Portugal and the banner are not in the questionnaire but very important to consider. Carmine wants to stress some points; the important number of participants both with staff and pupils in the beginning, which increased towards the end. Pupils were more than the double amount, compared to the start. We had a better result in the final report than in the intermediate evaluation.The impressive participation in Barcelona and Bielefeld was a record for Spain and Italy and probably for the whole Europe. Politicians’ involvement is important for all countries. Coordination worked out very well. We have developed a good friendship and it's an important social aspect. Most countries haven't applied for a quality label for L&M yet. It is important that all countries will do that so we might apply for a European award.

European Shared Treasures - ESTA database of former Comenius projects still exists. www.europeansharedtreasure.eu To upload results of this project we will get username and password from our own agencies. When you click on Landmarks you find your flag and then you can upload material.Our last project "Droppy" is star marked and that means that at least one agency has mentioned it as a good practice in its country.It's important to upload both our own work and also the collaborative work.

Online bookThe idea is 7 chapters where we will sum up the work we have done.Brendan has written about the start of the project when President Higgins launched the project. He will also mention the participation of the Education Councillor from Tomar in this meeting in Bielefeld. He will also write about the meetings. Every chapter should stress something concerning all countries.Carmine writes about the evaluation report.Raquel about performanceGerwin writes about ArtNikon writes about e-Twinning.Marita and Eva write about citizenship.Carlos writes about publishing.

If we use Brendan's example and writes something about the same length and in a general way, about two pages, publishing would be possible online. It would be appropriate to have the articles ready before summer vacation.

DisseminationSpain was asked to write something from our project. The newspaper is interested to write more about the children's view from the visit in Bielefeld and they are now writing a diary. We could add the diary with the Children's point of view, feelings, emotions, children feedback and add it to the online book.

UploadsWe continue to upload the rest of the work on e-Twinning and the website.

Final reportThe report comes filled in, Brendan will check how to fulfill it, alone or together, he will get back to us with what to do.

Raquel told us about eduloc.net. They use Google maps in educational purpose. You could pick out a monument, drop a pin, listen and read about the monument. It's possible to create your own pins.
