Ed Grandmaison has been appointed as grounds chair- man. Ed, who lived across the street from the James House for many years, is a profes- sional landscaper who has been maintaining the James House open field and trails for quite some time. He will add professional advice to the association’s landscaping efforts and provide some first-hand history of the James House property during its Campbell family owner- ship. In addition, Ed will bring James House programs to Exeter, where he now resides. Raymond Murphy’s financial and administrative skills as a retired US post office administrator will be a much-needed asset to the board of directors. His wife, Jane, has an interest in early history and thus will also be active as a member. The asso- ciation welcomes them as new residents of Hampton and as new active members of the James House Association. Their knowledge of other areas in the United States will James House Association appoints directors help the James House serve the extended public as a National Historic Site. Paul James is a direct descendant of Benjamin James, who had the home- stead built in 1723. Paul’s knowledge of James family genealogy will add to the genealogy research conduct- ed by Ann Morton, and the creation of James Family His- tory Programs. TALES TO AWARDS PROGRAMSTRATHAM | Ballet New England and the

Center for Dance Education cordially invite thecommunity to its annual student culminationand awards program.

The performance will take place on Sunday,June 4, starting at 3 p.m. at the Thomas MeehanPerforming Arts Center, located at the Cooper-ative Middle School in Stratham.

An admission fee of $8 per adult and $5 forchildren and Senior Citizens will be requestedat the door.

Two different fairy tales will be featured atthe performance. A jazzy presentation of “Cin-derella” will feature jazz, tap, and modernpieces. In addition, an adaptation of “SnowWhite” will feature all levels of ballet studentsenrolled in Creative Dance through JuniorCompany.

Ballet New England is proud to be celebrat-ing its 25th anniversary in providing the finestin dance education and professional dance per-formance. Registrations are currently beingaccepted for summer classes, which start July10 through August 4.
