Ed Grandmaison has beenappointed as grounds chair-man. Ed, who lived across thestreet from the James Housefor many years, is a profes-sional landscaper who hasbeen maintaining the JamesHouse open field and trailsfor quite some time. He willadd professional advice to theassociation’s landscapingefforts and provide somefirst-hand history of theJames House property during
its Campbell family owner-ship. In addition, Ed willbring James House programsto Exeter, where he nowresides.
Raymond Murphy’sfinancial and administrativeskills as a retired US postoffice administrator will be amuch-needed asset to theboard of directors. His wife,Jane, has an interest in earlyhistory and thus will also beactive as a member. The asso-ciation welcomes them asnew residents of Hamptonand as new active members ofthe James House Association.Their knowledge of otherareas in the United States will

Paul James is a directdescendant of BenjaminJames, who had the home-stead built in 1723. Paul’sknowledge of James familygenealogy will add to thegenealogy research conduct-ed by Ann Morton, and thecreation of James Family His-tory Programs. He will bringthese programs to the Wind-ham, New Hampshire areawhere he resides.

The Seacoast Youth Ser-vices’ mission is to offereducation, prevention, andtimely intervention pro-grams concerning alcoholand other drug abuse, aswell as other at-risk behav-iors for youth and familiesin the lower Seacoast area ofRockingham County. TheLions maintain an activeprogram of sight and hear-ing care for children andadults. They also sponsornumerous programs forassisting young people inthe area through scholar-ships, camper programs,and leadership develop-ment. TALES TO AWARDS PROGRAMSTRATHAM | Ballet New England and the
Center for Dance Education cordially invite thecommunity to its annual student culminationand awards program.
The performance will take place on Sunday,June 4, starting at 3 p.m. at the Thomas MeehanPerforming Arts Center, located at the Cooper-ative Middle School in Stratham.
An admission fee of $8 per adult and $5 forchildren and Senior Citizens will be requestedat the door.
Two different fairy tales will be featured atthe performance. A jazzy presentation of “Cin-derella” will feature jazz, tap, and modernpieces. In addition, an adaptation of “SnowWhite” will feature all levels of ballet studentsenrolled in Creative Dance through JuniorCompany.
Ballet New England is proud to be celebrat-ing its 25th anniversary in providing the finestin dance education and professional dance per-formance. Registrations are currently beingaccepted for summer classes, which start July10 through August 4.
