Topic:Adventure Sports

1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

Listening to an audio:Pupils listen to an audio recording and complete the tasks on worksheets.

Survey: In pairs, pupils conduct a survey about adventure sports based on questions provided in the survey forms.

Gathering information: Pupils group themselves according to the same adventure sport that they have surveyed. Pupils discuss on their findings and take turns to present the information to the class.

Hot seat:A situation is given to the class.In groups, pupils appoint two members to be the professionals in a particular adventure sport provided by the teacher. Pupils then conduct an interview session by asking questions to the professionals regarding the adventure sport.

Teaching Aids:Pre: Sets of jigsaw puzzle (pictures of rock climbing, paintball, water rafting, skateboarding and mountain biking)

While: Audio recording pertaining to adventure sports, survey forms containing several questions regarding adventure sports

Post: Labels for professionals in an adventure sport and interviewers
